It has Two functions in one filter:

1) Sediment filter -

• Reduces dirt, sand, rust and other contamination larger than 50 microns.
• Reduces scale up to 80%
• Prevents scale around heating elements from agglomerates.

2) "Dual action" scale treatment:
- Siliphos granules - forms a thin protective layer on the inside of pipes and metal parts.
* Siliphos II had been tested and approved to NSF/ANSI Standatd 60.
- High power magnets - changes the direction of the molecules.

Maintance:

- Filter screen - stainless steel filter has a long life capacity 
Two ways of flushing the filter:

1) Manually - open the valve every 3 months for 10-15 seconds.

2) Automatic mechanism - optional valve available that will automaticlly flush
the unit when contaminants build up.

- Siliphos: siliphos granules should be added every 6 months.
(typical life span of 40,000 to 50,000 gallons)
